Somebody please buy this. It keeps popping up on my Facebook and I am tempted to buy it. I already have to fix up the Jeep and do not have the means to do what I want with this. Get this though, they will take $300 for it. That’s not a typo it honestly is $300. If someone from Oppo wanted it I would gladly call and go look at it for them.

These are the only pictures posted on there. Judging by the top I wouldn’t expect much for the interior. By the way, this is located in Southern Indiana.

As Jeremy Clarkson once said:

I have argued many times that owning an Alfa is a portal through which all petrolheads must pass if they genuinely want to know what it is that differentiates a car from a toaster or a washing machine. Because Alfas have flaws, they feel human, as if they have a soul and a temper. Each one is like the tortured hero of a Russian novel, a car of extraordinary depths, a car you can never truly fathom, especially when it four in the morning and it is enveloped in a cloud of steam, yet again, on the North Circular. They are like cocaine. The unimaginable highs are always matched by immense, brooding lows. Massive electrical storm that inevitably follow a glorious sultry evening.

$300 is temptingly cheap.

I think the number of Alfa, Fiat, and Datsun roadsters sitting abandoned in fields across America actually outnumbers the number produced. I’m not sure how that can be possible, but it’s true.

Being parked where it is, I strongly suspect some serious rot underneath. Still, it’s very tempting. For $300 it couldn’t be too hard to at a minimum get your money back out of it in parts.

If I had somewhere to put it (and a way to get it there) I’d be considering it

If someone buys it I call the driver side headlight ring

That is super tempting, I won that much playing blackjack last weekend! I think getting it to South Dakota would be more expensive than the car itself. It also could be the perfect candidate for 24hrs of LeMons!

Yeah, there is a good chance of rot. I think you are correct all the way around.

The hood, fenders, child, and lights are worth the $300 alone. Not to mention all the stuff you can’t see. Buy it!

I can’t take in a project car though. I already have a car and it runs. I don’t need one that doesn’t run.

I just bought a non running Jeep for the same price. My parents said no to this. Plus if I bought it I would need $10k, at least, for what I want to do.

Tis my problem, I also just bought a non running car.

My one car is plenty. It’s practical and it works.

If this was in the UK it would be at my house right now.

Based on a USD to GBP calculator this would be around £207 and some change. Buy it anyways.

No, not the child. Their running costs are crippling.

To be honest, even with shipping it over it would be cheaper than a similar condition Spider over here.

Only problem is, I have £207 to spare. I don't have £2207 :S

Didn't the US receive the bulk of these? That would explain the price difference. Well that and the fact we love larger cars here. I'll trade you one of these for an old beat to hell defender.

Yeah Alfas were always on the pricey side in the UK, although they did still sell well. The old Alfas have really kept their value well as well, or at least surged as the classic car bubble started to grow.

Annoyingly, Defenders aren't as cheap as you'd think either. Probably something to do with them being the only car in their niche, used or new...

How much can a fairly shitty barely running one pull? I would also blame the US market for the price of them too.

I'd hazard a guess at £1500 upwards at the least. More if the bodywork's not too bad...

Compared to what they bring here in sketchy condition that's not too bad. I guess with shipping costs it probably evens out to some I've seen. However they are rare in that condition here. Here in the next few years I actually want to try and import one and redo it all.
